Dear ASPO-USA Supporter:

Following the 2007 Houston Conference, we sent you an appeal announcing Bob Kanner's Matching Grant Challenge to raise money, hire full-time staff, carry the Peak Oil message even further, and take dead aim at Peak Oil Deniers. We’ve done all that and much more. Thanks to your generous response, we’ve hired a professional staff, and gained nationwide media coverage brokering a $100,000 wager against CERA’s optimistic production estimates. Of course, CERA declined the bet, but news outlets across the nation- from the Wall Street Journal to World Oil magazine- covered the story, and CERA’s Oil & Gas Optimist Club lost some members. CERA flunked our first annual Peak Oil Score Card (below), but we hope that remedial studies in Peak Oil analysis will bring them up to grade.

We’d never before asked for contributions, but you responded, and we need just a little more help from our friends right now. We need your tax-deductible contributions of $100, $500, $1000, $5000 or more to reach our final $100K goal which, with the Matching Grant, will give us the $300K needed to fund a two-year campaign to get sustainable foundation funding to support ongoing operations with the full-time staff and office we’ve already secured. Give for yourselves, your children, and your grandchildren.

So in the Spirit of Speaking Truth to Power, and in the Spirit of Charitable Tax Deductions ... write a generous check today and send it to the address below ... or use this link to make your contribution.   We will proudly recognize your name on our website, or, if preferred, we’ll happily list you as an “anonymous” donor.

If you’ve already contributed as a member, a conference sponsor, or a matching grant partner, please donate a little more, in another category, and forward this message to a friend or colleague who shares your concern about our nation’s energy future. In addition to pioneer supporters like Bob Kanner, Marvin Gottlieb, Matt Simmons, Henry Groppe, Art Smith, and Roger Baker, we are particularly grateful to Tom Petrie, Margie Haley, Kevin Douglas, Kurt Cobb, Dick McDonald, Bruce Rose, Richard Ha, Jerry Mercer, Michael Saalfeld, Don McMaster and hundreds of others. Your name will be added along with these Peak Oil Pioneers to be honored on a prominent web page that is under construction right now.

Write and mail your check today to ASPO-USA, P.O. Box 371438, Denver, CO 8023, or use this link.   For more information call Rick Block at 856-845-0579.

Your children and grandchildren will thank you.

CERA and EIA will not.
