Scott Pugh, a former nuclear submarine commanding officer who also served as dean of mathematics and science at the US Naval Academy. Since retiring from the Navy as a Captain in 2005 he has worked with Amory Lovins as Rocky Mountain Institute's Military Principal to implement the strategies outlined in "Winning the Oil Endgame" and serves on the Defense Science Board DoD Energy Strategy Task Force. He has served as the executive secretary of a White House Electric Grid Vulnerability Task Force and is a member of the Federal Smart Grid Task Force. He lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
